For over four years Noise Control have been smashing out sets around Dublin, the rest of Ireland and the UK with classic gigs like the Carrol Transport factory rave fiasco, their Sunday headline set at Castlepalooza and opening slots for the likes of The Prodigy, Asian Dub Foundation, Underworld, Basement Jaxx and Tricky.

Sonically their blend of distorted guitars, low end presence, ravey synths, big beat breaks and the Kid's mercurial fusion of DnB mc skills with crowd inducing sing along vocals, has cemented Noise Control's reputation as a live band with a big system sound that can get the crowd moving. Our version of "Addiction" was a chance to slow things down and get murky with some swampy bass. Available on iTunes either as a single track or as part of the Noise Control "Addiction EP".

This 6 song demo tape was recorded just before going out on a short Western Canadian tour back in 1997. All copies were dubbed by hand in a double tape deck in traditional D.I.Y. fashion. It was a funny time back then. Hardcore punk shows in community halls were regularly packed out on the weekends. At the same time, raves were packing out other bigger venues around town. The two scenes even crossed over on occasion with some raves having live band rooms where crusty punks would mosh out, then traipse off to the main room to listen to that other kind of hardcore. From the very early days of raves back in Cowtown I had been hooked on the sounds of the 808. While analogue music continued as a pursuit the seeds of sub bass science had long since been sowed. This venture into yesteryear is presented to you for nostalgic purposes only, enjoy!
